Passage to Apia Samoa is now accepted as being via the 'Tamarina' (Captain Stenbeck) where it was then conveyed to Pago by the 'Tiafau'. Burge type 1. Swains Island was privately owned but annexed to Samoa in 1925. It's population in 1931 was just 99.
