Tahira was situated at Bootless Inlet ten miles south east of Port Moresby and was a settlement for the New Guinea Copper Company. This was very short lived collapsing in 1927 and postal strikes are only recorded between Dec 1925 and October 1926. Tahira covers are hence rare especially those registered.
