1945 (OCT.8.) stampless cover addressed to UK marked 'On Active Service' cancelled by d/r RAF POST 301 cds. Unfortunately the '301' is unclear but the letter is addressed to Mrs Elsie Simmons the wife of H.R.Simmons from a well known documented correspondence eminating from Cocos. The cover is complete with long original letter which mentions being in Cocos and much information such as his unit 'Section H' being in Intelligence. RAF personnel were sent to Cocos Islands to build the airfield at the end of the war. Very scarce.
